Bachelor of Physiotherapy

The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is to prepare students for a rewarding career in physical rehabilitation and healthcare. The program focuses on the prevention, treatment, and management of physical disabilities, injuries, and movement disorders through evidence-based physiotherapy practices. Students gain in-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, exercise therapy, electrotherapy, and rehabilitation techniques. With a strong emphasis on clinical training, the course equips students with the skills needed to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions. Graduates of BPT are well-prepared to work in hospitals, rehabilitation centre, sports clinics, and community health settings, or pursue higher education and research in the field of physiotherapy.

The scope also extends to specialized areas such as Paediatric physiotherapy, Orthopaedic physiotherapy, Neuro-Physiotherapy, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. BPT graduates can pursue higher studies like MPT (Master of Physiotherapy), engage in clinical research, or take up teaching positions in academic institutions. Qualification for Paramedical Faculty:

  1. Educational Qualification:A Master’s degree or higher in the relevant paramedical field (e.g., MPT – Master of Physiotherapy or equivalent in a related discipline).
  2. Professional Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of teaching experience in a recognized institution or relevant clinical experience.
  3. Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with diagnostic equipment and medical imaging techniques.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective teaching and training.
  5. Research and Publications: Desirable to have published research papers in indexed journals.
  6. Soft Skills: Leadership qualities, mentoring skills, and the ability to guide students academically and clinically.
